This is one of the best times in history to be a woman, is it not?
We are liberated, we are educated, we have equal opportunity, we have freedom of choice, we have the capabilities to fully realise our potential…
So, why do so many of us still feel that something is missing, that we haven’t got what we are really looking for?
What are we trying to prove, to ourselves and to others? Why do we strive day after day to be Wonder Woman in order to feel successful?
I’d like to suggest that it’s something to do with what we’ve lost sight of… how we’ve become separated from the essence of who we really are… disconnected from our feminine selves and from the amazing energy that is the source of feminine power.
So, if you’re thinking, “What is all this about?”, that’s absolutely fine!
My intention as I write, is to awaken curiosity, plant a seed, nurture a thought, inspire a feeling…
Imagine for a moment that we are living our lives in a spirit of sharing, support and agreement rather than in fear, tension and conflict.. We live lives where cooperation is valued over competition, and intuition is as valued as logic. Expressing feelings and emotions is more important than controlling them; listening is as important as speaking. and wisdom and experience is deemed equal to acquired knowledge and qualifications…
How would that be? What do you feel? Is it possible?
If you’re saying to yourself “It would be nice, but that’s not the way things are done”, you’re absolutely right. It’s not the way things are done, at the moment…
However, we are living in a time of fundamental change. We are starting to see that the “old way” is no longer the only way, nor necessarily the best way. Values are starting to be questioned, consciousness is starting to shift and women are at the heart of it!
So, what happens if you are caught up in the “energetic” rat race? You’ve been living it for so long that it’s become normal, the side effects are taking their toll and you feel trapped within a situation that only you can change.
Yes, it’s the “C” word, and Change can be painful.
So much so, that staying where we are, even if it’s killing us, is often what we do… and here lies the true challenge.
The first and biggest hurdle for many women, comes not from the outside, but from deep within ourselves. And, not surprisingly, this is where the journey to redefine being a woman and reconnect with our feminine selves must start.
So, I invite you to take a quiet moment… Reflect on what aspects of your life are “off-key” and out of harmony…then, take a pen and paper and let your thoughts express themselves. When you connect with yourself, the clearer your path will become…

Whenever I do take the time to tap into feminine-ism this energy of simply being by indulging in a meditative and self-nurturing manicure a facial or a hot bubble bath that s when I feel my most powerful. As a card-carrying feminine-ist I am here to tell you that feeling sexy is what helps me to be my most powerful and successful self and being powerful and successful also helps me feel damn sexy!
