Take a moment and find yourself a quiet space – it doesn’t have to be anywhere special, the bottom of the garden, a peaceful few minutes with the laundry or even the bathroom, all are good!
Take the time to be still and relax your body, release the thoughts that are occupying your mind, quiet the chatter in your head and allow yourself to just be…Then ask yourself this question:
“What does the inner me need…what is my soul crying out for?”
Surprising answers may float up from within, so get ready to expect the unexpected!
Or, thoughts may come up that are familiar to you, thoughts that have always been there unnoticed or unacknowledged. Whichever it is, notice what appears for it is important…
One of the things my soul needs is something I’ve “known without knowing” for many years – funny how that happens, isn’t it!
Throughout my life, I have searched for, and usually found, inspiring places to live. Places with a view, places with natural beauty, places that made me feel good.
Now, I know this is no coincidence, I was listening to my soul.
However, on the occasions I didn’t listen to my soul, I found myself in environments that were out of tune with me, they were uninspiring and far from nurturing. And, I always ended up paying the price…
So, for me, it is the wide open spaces, the beauty, tranquility and perfection of a wild coastline, the calmness and serenity of the horizon as it merges with the greyness of the winter sky… this is my bliss, anytime of the year.
Not everyone’s cup of tea, I know. But that’s the point.
We are each individual and unique and we each have our own souls to listen to…
What is your soul crying out for?
Allow it to tell you, then listen and start creating the life you want, the life your soul needs.
