Many of us are searching for something more in our lives, we crave direction and purpose. We have a feeling, sometimes a nagging feeling that keeps coming back, even though we may try to ignore it, that there must be more to life than this.
We may dismiss that feeling, disown it, put the lid on it but it doesn’t go away.
We are asleep, we are dozing through our lives. Our alarm clock wakes us from time to time yet we respond by pressing “snooze” and slipping gently back into unconsciousness…
That’s why our searching continues. We are being told that there is work to be done but we are not listening. We are ignoring the call to do what we have to do.
The day we choose to no longer ignore our feelings, the day we choose to reject the limits of our own ignorance and embrace instead the magnitude of discovery and expansion, is the day we awake from our sleep.
This is when we become conscious of the inner journey that lies within us and before us.. we become aware of what is real and where to search for meaning in our lives. We finally wake up!
Even though I have chosen to travel and live in different countries around the world, my most important journey has not involved trains, planes, visas and passports.
It has been static, yet it has taken me much, much further than all the other journeys put together… further than I could ever have imagined.
My inner journey has taken me to places I never knew existed, it has taken me along unfamiliar paths, it has challenged me, it has led me through landscapes of sublime beauty and frightening immensity. Everything has seemed so different, yet at the same time strangely familiar…
Now I know this is how it is.
This is how it is when we open up to ourselves…
This is how it is when we explore the realms of consciousness, when we choose to take the inner path…
Your journey is waiting for you, just as mine was for me. Take the path, it is what you have been searching for…it is your way forward.
